一个有抱负的年轻演员为了演艺事业，考虑放弃他的家人世代相传的餐厅。于他而言，这个餐厅就是他的负担，他会放弃梦想还是餐厅？。民国初年，国会议员卢子陵在家遇害，一条钻石项链被盗。监察厅聘用的多名侦探先后失踪。段厅长不得已从死牢保出侦探“铁蜘蛛”，又请来“神猫”冷云飞协助。冷云飞在“铁蜘蛛”的暗中指示下行动，并结识了袁芳，而袁芳姑父文中汉其实使龙虎堂堂主。原来，被盗的钻石上刻有反袁革命军军校级以上军官的名单，急于得到名单的袁世凯派人杀了文中汉，但钻石最后为“铁蜘蛛”也就是袁芳所得。袁芳假死逃脱，冷云飞南下云南与之相会。。Set in the 1930's, this gangster spoof tells the comic tale of a Johnny Kelly (Michael Keaton) who is forced into a life of crime in order to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment.
