该片根据作家本多孝好的人气小说改编，导演由曾执导《未来预想图》（2007）的导演蝶野博掌镜。故事讲述了一个五口之家，父亲是小偷，母亲是结婚欺诈师，另外还有收养的3个孩子。某天，母亲在与目标男外出吃饭准备欺诈之时，不料被对方识破“欺诈计划”，随即将母亲绑架索要赎金，为了救出母亲，没有血缘关系的一家人想尽了各种办法……。将棋初学者田中步对八乙女漆一见钟情，加入了将棋部。 “赢了的话就向前辈告白！”但是实力远远不及。 另一边，对于步的“攻势”，漆内心动摇…… 在只有两个部员的将棋部，今天也展开了棋盘上和棋盘外的交锋……！。Morse finds himself the subject of a murder investigation when his friend, Beryl Newsome, is murdered at a rehearsal of the Magic Flute and he foolishly touches the murder weapon.
