医者を志す立花登は、江戸で町医者をしている叔父・玄庵を頼って秋田から出てきた。玄庵の世話で小伝馬町の牢医者として職を得る。２０歳の多感な青年・登は、牢の内外で巻き起こるさまざまな事件にかかわりながら、世の中の底辺で生活する人々の苦しみを目の当たりにする――。 一話完結型の青春時代劇です。。A young newlywed couple find themselves trapped in a network of underground caves. With her husband injured, the new bride is forced to find her way back to the surface in order to save his life. In the process, they discover a terrifying truth about the "underneath", they are not alone. Something evil is hunting them.。
